In the fall of 2005, The Athens Group commenced construction of the Montage Beverly Hills. The hotel, located in the heart of the Beverly Hills Triangle and just steps away from world-renowned Rodeo Drive, opened for business in November 2008.

Montage Beverly Hills is an eight-story hotel featuring 201 spacious, well-appointed guest rooms, including 55 suites. The guest rooms offer stunning city and foothill views from expansive windows and private balconies. The hotel features a 20,000-square foot Spa Montage with an expansive fitness room, yoga and pilates studio, 17 luxurious wet and dry treatment rooms and relaxing lounges with fireplaces, including a co-ed lounge and mineral pool. A rooftop pool, inlaid with glass mosaic tile with mother-of-pearl finish, overlooks Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. 20 penthouse residences, located on the upper three floors of the eight-story building, make up the residential aspect of this iconic property. The residential owners have access to all of the resort's amenities and services including access to the swimming pools and spa, concierge service, room service, housekeeping, laundry and valet service.

Guests may dine at the intimate Muse restaurant, casually elegant Parq restaurant, rooftop Conservatory Grill or the more intimate Lobby Lounge. More than 9,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space is available, including a 5,000 square foot grand ballroom decorated in quintessential Spanish Revival-style with rich fabrics and textures, and three residential-style meeting rooms that can be combined into a 3,000 square foot junior ballroom for smaller gatherings and executive meetings. A rooftop conservatory and outdoor garden provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and celebrations. Finally, a full service salon, barber shop, and other services and stores comprise 4,500 square feet of retail space.

A City owned "Gardens Building" features 20,000 square feet of City owned retail, restaurant and commercial space, and the 33,000-square-foot Public Gardens includes three separate garden areas: a topiary garden; a dining garden; and a large lawn area garden which notably comprise the first public green space in the Golden Triangle. An underground shared use parking garage holds up to 1,172 cars, of which 640 of them are dedicated to public parking uses serving the City of Beverly Hills.

Designed to evoke a timeless elegance, the hotel captures the sophisticated character of Southern California's glamorous estates of the 1920s and 1930s. The grand Spanish Colonial Revival architecture complements the storied history, culture and tradition of Beverly Hills. The exterior couples terra-cotta roofs with authentic tile detailing to complement the rich history and tradition of Southern California's most celebrated community. The interior features fruitwood floors and decorative copper ceilings, chandeliers and murals. The gracious design is enhanced by lush landscaping and curator-assembled art. European-inspired paintings and objects d'arts, juxtaposed with set drawings and original costume designs from great film classics, evoke a visual celebration of Hollywood-style glamour.

Montage Beverly Hills is a perfect example of a successful public/private partnership. The Athens Group worked side-by-side with the mayor, City council and neighborhood groups throughout the design, development and construction process. By combining resources and talents, The Athens Group and the City created an inspired work of art reminiscent of the Golden Age of California.

In April of 2009, Montage Beverly Hills became the first certified ultra-luxury hotel in Southern California for LEED-NC, one of just four gold certified hotels worldwide. The LEED benchmarking system is a third-party administered program intended to encourage the design, construction and operations of more sustainable buildings. Montage Beverly Hills is also the first newly constructed mixed-use hotel and residential project to be LEED certified as a single project, denoting it as a high performance building that is a responsible, efficient, and healthy place to live and work.

The LEED-NC V2.2 rating system designations reflect assessments of factors such as site planning, landscape design, energy and water usage, materials storage and reclamation, indoor environmental quality, and innovations in purchasing and green housekeeping programs. LEED, begun in 1998, now encompasses more than 14,000 projects in the US and 30 additional countries.

The Montage Beverly Hills was developed by The Athens Group for Beverly Hills Luxury Hotel, LLC - a partnership between The Athens Group and private investors.
