In the fall of 2005, The Athens Group commenced construction of the Montage Beverly Hills. In the heart of the Beverly Hills Triangle, the hotel is located just north of Wilshire Boulevard, between Canon and Beverly Drives. The site is just steps away from world-renowned Rodeo Drive, and is accessible from Los Angeles International Airport, Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, and Santa Monica Airport (via general aviation).
The Hotel will include 201-rooms with 55 suites; a 19,000 square foot full-service spa with 17 treatment rooms; a three meal restaurant; a signature fine dining restaurant; a lobby lounge; a patisserie; a pool bar and grill; a rooftop pool; 9,500 square feet of meeting space; 4,500 square feet of retail space; and 20 penthouse residences, located on the upper three floors of the eight-story building. A City owned "Gardens Building" will feature 20,000 square feet of City owned retail, restaurant and commercial space and the 33,000-square-foot Public Gardens will include three separate garden areas: a topiary garden; a dining garden; and a large lawn area garden. Features will include three water fountains, topiary-shaped hedges, manicured trees, benches, covered pedestrian galleries and lush lawn areas. Finally, an underground shared use parking garage will hold up to 1,172 cars.
Inspired by the Spanish Revival architecture that is prevalent in Southern California, the building will be a modern translation with plaster walls, clay tiled roofs, plaster columns, arches and authentic Spanish tile details. The interiors will also reflect this historic style, evoking a residential, yet sophisticated ambiance.
Montage Beverly Hills will offer casual, all-day dining on the lower level, with a signature evening dining experience offered on the upper level. Visually stunning with careful attention to detail, the signature, more formal restaurant will offer refined cuisine in a stylish, comfortable setting. Adjacent rooms will provide private dining for intimate parties. The Lobby Bar will also reflect California's casual elegance, while a pool bar and grill will offer additional dining options with stunning views of the surrounding area. The elegant but comfortable Lobby Lounge will provide a wide variety of beverage options along with high tea and light meals and snacks. Professional servers will provide in-room dining, and chefs will be available to cook in the residences.
A place to soothe the senses and escape from the hustle and bustle of today's hectic urban lifestyle, Spa Montage will offer calming, results-oriented body and facial treatments, along with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and classes.
The 5,000 square foot main ballroom will be decorated in quintessential Spanish Revival-style with rich fabrics and textures, and a continued focus on fine details. Three residential-style meeting rooms that can be combined into a junior ballroom will be available for smaller gatherings and executive meetings. The outdoor garden plaza level will provide the ideal backdrop for outdoor weddings and other parties. State of the art technology will include video-conferencing and high-speed Internet access, etc. An on-site audio-visual department will coordinate all technical needs.
The Montage Beverly Hills is being developed by The Athens Group for Beverly Hills Luxury Hotel, LLC - a partnership between The Athens Group and private investors and is currently under construction.
